Cicle Música de Cambra

VII CICLE DE MÚSICA DE CAMBRA

Cicle de Música de Cambra was founded at Teatre de Sarrià in 2021, with the aim of creating a new musical project in Barcelona and a welcoming space for audiences and artists to celebrate chamber music together.

Since its beginnings, under the artistic direction of pianist Maria Canyigueral, the project has featured internationally acclaimed musicians and presenting programmes that explore a wide range of musical periods and styles.

One of the Series’ defining features is the introduction that precedes each concert. Audiences are invited to discover the music from a different perspective through a short presentation by some of the most recognised voices of Catalunya Música radio, including Joan Vives, Xavier Chavarria and Victòria Palma. These introductions create a more engaging and personal listening experience, opening up a dialogue between the music, the performers and the audience.

Until now, Teatre de Sarrià has been the home of Cicle de Música de Cambra. This historic Barcelona venue, inaugurated in 1907, has 341 seats and offers an intimate setting particularly well suited to chamber music, where the proximity between performers and audience is such an important part of the experience.

The 2026–2027 season marks an exciting new chapter for the Series. Building on its roots in Sarrià, the project is now expanding to two further venues: the beautiful Castell de Calonge and the Auditori Eduard Toldrà in Vilanova i la Geltrú.

This new chapter has been made possible through collaborations with Festivals Calonge, for the concerts at Castell de Calonge, and Associació Eduard Toldrà, for the concerts in Vilanova i la Geltrú. Teatre de Sarrià remains an essential part of the project, both as its original home and as one of its venues.

We look forward to welcoming you to this new chapter of the VII Cicle de Música de Cambra, and to sharing with you the music and the unique atmosphere that have shaped the project from the beginning.
